CONSIGNED FOR THIS SALE IS 95 BRED EWES FROM HENRY WIEBE OF PREECEVILLE SK. THIS IS A COMPLETE FLOCK DISPERSAL. THESE MAMAS ARE DUE TO START LAMBING IN EARLY APRIL.

This week we saw all butcher cows trade at least $10 higher. Good big cows traded from $193-198.50. Feeding types traded from $185-200. Heiferettes were $200-240. Dairy cows were in the $160-170 range. Good bulls were $15-20 higher than last week. Top price was $237.50. There was still solid demand for feeder cattle despite all the drama of President Trumps threat of tariffs. Buyers were all active this week and with less cattle around any hesitation went out the window. Many larger consignments are preparing to move calves so hopefully things do stay strong going forward.

SUCH ANIMALS WILL BE SUBJECT TO FINES IF DETECTED BY CFIA AT ALL AUCTION MARKETS.

Horned cattle are beginning to be discounted more and more all the time. If you want your cattle to bring a premium price they must be horn free.
If you are planning on selling calves in the next month or so, please call ahead to book your cattle with us. If we know how many cattle are coming it allows us to inform buyers so they can have adequate trucks available.

A REMINDER TO PRODUCERS TO GET YOUR PREMISE ID NUMBERS FROM THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS GOING TO BECOME MANDATORY IN 2020. ALL PRODUCERS WILL NEED TO FILL OUT MANIFESTS WHENEVER THEY TRANSPORT CATTLE FROM HOME TO EITHER AUCTION MARTS OR PASTURES. THESE MANIFESTS WILL HAVE TO INCLUDE YOUR PREMISE ID NUMBERS AS PART OF THE NEW NATIONAL TRACIBILITY PROGRAM.
